About me🙋🏻‍♀️

Hello 👋🏼, I'm a full-stack web software engineer with experience developing full-stack web applications from scratch.

🎓 In early 2020, I graduated from Flatiron School D.C.'s acclaimed Software Engineering Immersive Bootcamp.

I utilize my in-depth understanding of Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript frameworks (such as React w/ Redux) to create beautifully functional web applications. 🌐

✊🏼 What Drives Me

A genuine passion for coding and technology drives me to improve as a developer, challenge myself, and continuously expand my technical skills. I utilize industry-standard best-practices to create quality code from the ground-up, delivering tested and optimized websites.

As a core personal goal, I'd ultimately like to use technology to contribute to positive social change to disadvantaged/minority communities.

❤️ My Passions

Also, I enjoy writing and publishing thorough technical articles 📝, diving into a wide range of tech-related topics such as in-depth coding tutorials as well as analyzing tech-industry trends.

Photography 📷 is another passion of mine that I've had since a young age, using contrast, light, shadow, and colors to create visually striking images that convey emotion as well as tell a story.

Ultimately as a long-time artist, I have a keen eye to construct aesthetically pleasing websites.

🔐 Cyber-Security

I have a strong interest in cyber-security, both personally and professionally. I'm thoroughly fascinated with cyber-security as a whole, and spend much of my free time continually educating myself and building my CyberSec skillset. I'm well-versed in penetration testing of systems, as well as being up-to-date on cyber-security industry standards.

Cyber-security skills Include:

  • Network security
  • Endpoint security
  • Server security
  • Data security
  • Incident response and security monitoring
  • Threat modelling

Powah! is a concept web-application where car-enthusiasts can upload their car (with stats) to a list of cars. Users can also sort and favorite cars. Built using vanilla 100% JavaScript on the front-end, with Rails (w/ PostgreSQL) on the server-side API.

LGBTQ+ Meetups
This is a project I'm currently rebuilding, meant to be a social network exclusively for LGBTQ+ people. With LGBTQ+ Meetups, users can find meetups near them to hang out with like-minded people
